The Inn at Little Washington was founded in 1978 in a former garage. Nowadays our campus encompasses numerous properties throughout the village, including 17 guest rooms and the Claiborne House, Gift Shops, a Cutting Garden, walking trail and a special event ballroom.
We invite you to take a stroll through one of America’s last unspoiled colonial communities and admire the unique architectural diversity ranging from the 1700s to the present day.
In between the Shops and the Mayor’s House you can find the start of the Perimeter Path, a ¾ mile loop that meanders past the chickens, sheep and their guardian llama, Francesca. It is a perfect spot to watch the sunset or take a leisurely morning walk.
LIMITED CELLULAR PHONE ACCESS
We are located in a very rural area of Virginia, and as beautiful as it is, we have very limited cell phone coverage within a 30 mile radius of The Inn. Unless you are with Sprint or T-Mobile, you probably will not have a cell phone signal. However, we have phones and voice mail in all of our rooms and we can transfer any incoming calls to you or to the Front Desk.
This limited cell phone coverage will also impact cellular based GPS systems. If you have any questions or require additional information please contact our Reservations Department at 540-675-3800.
