The Ballroom

Our historic Ballroom dates back to the 1700′s. The room used to be part of the local tavern and legend has it that George Washington danced the minuet across our floors.

The hand painted wallpaper was imagined solely for this room and depicts an idyllic woodland scene of birds and botanicals, guiding the eye skyward to the trellised ceiling. A wall of french doors opens up to a stately terrace overlooking the Field of Dreams and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Ballroom is the perfect space for private dinners for up to 30 guests or receptions for up to 90 guests, using adjacent spaces.

The Claiborne House

The Claiborne House is not only the Presidential Suite, but also a private event venue. The Claiborne House features two bedrooms, two and one half baths, a living room, dining room, media room, and library. The rear of the house has a large, two story veranda overlooking a private garden. The House is an ideal venue for a large family gathering, wedding, or reception.

The house can accommodate up to 12 for a seated dinner in the dining room and up to 30 for a cocktail reception.
