AMERICA’S CULINARY PIONEERS
On the occasion of our 30th Anniversary, we honored some of the people who inspired and influenced The Inn’s development as they collectively altered our country’s culinary landscape. Each of them added a unique ingredient to the delicious soup of American cuisine as we know it today. While some are fellow chefs, there are also representatives from the worlds of food, journalism and wine — all of whom helped fuel a momentous transformation in our culinary consciousness.
Some are no longer with us, however, our hope is that this effort will help all of us appreciate and remember their contributions. We’ve named our suites and accommodations at The Inn in honor of these American Culinary Pioneers. Their books and memorabilia are in the various rooms and hopefully, the public will learn more about them and their role in America’s gastronomic evolution.
This video sets the stage for how the culinary landscape has changed and The Inn’s role own creation and growth.
Avec Eric – “Dream Dinners” Episode
We had the privilege of hosting Eric Ripert for a taping of his wonderful Emmy nominated show Avec Eric. Eric is a wonderfully astute host in addition to being one of the finest chefs cooking in the world today and shooting the episode was thoroughly enjoyable. Our thanks to the entire team for making us look so good.
