Larry Stone is a distinguished American sommelier and vintner with a career spanning over three decades. In 1988, he became the ninth Master Sommelier in the United States and the first American to win the prestigious Best International Sommelier in French Wines competition in Paris. Stone's extensive experience includes roles at esteemed establishments such as the Four Seasons, Charlie Trotter’s, and Rubicon Restaurant, where he mentored notable sommeliers like Rajat Parr. In 2012, he founded Lingua Franca, an estate winery in Oregon's Willamette Valley, collaborating with renowned Burgundian winemaker Dominique Lafon to produce elegant Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines.
